Honorable Mukta Dutta Tomar, our distinguished guest speaker, assumed charge as Consul General of India in
Chicago in August 2010. Earlier she was Deputy High Commissioner of
India to Bangladesh from 2007 to 2010. She has held diplomatic assignments in Indian Embassies in
Madrid, Kathmandu, Paris, and Yangon. Mrs. Tomar worked in the Americas Division. She has also headed the
Investment & Technology Promotion & Economic Division in the
Ministry.
Honorable Mukta Tomar will review the rich history of vegetarianism which India offers to the world. We are very honored to have her with us for Veggie Fest 2011 to share her knowledge and experience on this subject.
